Our History

1990
Founder Ing. Peter Pochaba meets with the owners of the Austrian company Austroclima, which intends to expand into the Czechoslovak market. The negotiations result in the establishment of Austroklima-Kälte Bratislava spol. s r.o., registered on March 31st in the commercial register, operating in the field of Building Services Engineering. Subsequently, in 1991, Ing. Jana Backová joins, now the Group CFO.

1993
The company successfully executes its first projects and builds a team of experts. Following financial difficulties of the Austrian partner, the founders agree to acquire its stake and rebrand – the ABC KLÍMA brand is established. Concurrently, it establishes a branch in Brno, thereby entering the Czech market and taking responsibility for the Moravian region.

1995
ABC KLÍMA grows and expands its service portfolio. In addition to the supply, installation, and servicing of Building Services Engineering, it begins its own design work and opens a production division for HVAC ducts in Malá Mača. The first major construction project is completed – the VÚB Bank headquarters valued at 25 million SK, followed by the Allianz headquarters right next to VÚB Bank.

1998
Further company growth, the launch of production, and interest in international production change the group's strategy. The production division becomes independent and starts operating under the TZB Global brand. The new company also acquires its own premises in the village of Malá Mača with room for future development and moves from its previously inadequate rented spaces to its own. At this time, the largest contract was the NBS project, valued at 260 million SK, featuring a new system of chilled ceilings and absorption cooling.

2000
Another major project was the Tatra Bank headquarters in Bratislava, and we secured a contract from Kazakhstan valued at 2 million dollars.

2001
Turnover over the last three years ranged from 350 to 420 million SK, peaking in 2001, when we achieved a turnover of 740 million SK.

2002
Dynamic growth and the launch of production bring a new strategy. The production division becomes independent under the TZB Global brand, acquiring its own premises in Malá Mača and moving from rented spaces to a new headquarters with room for further development. Concurrently, Rudolf Baran, now director, and Miroslav Hnát, director of the service department, join the ABC KLÍMA Košice branch.

2003 – 2005
The realization of the entire building on Tomášikova Street begins – heating, cooling, HVAC, valued at approximately 600 thousand. Cooling based on groundwater utilization and one of the first implementations of ceiling cooling and heating with heat pumps. We also completed two hospitals in Vienna and are starting to implement projects for the parliament and the castle.

2007
Currently, the turnover has climbed to the billion-mark annually, and the company is headquartered in the modern Ingsteel building in Bratislava, which also bears the quality Building Services Engineering signature of ABC Klíma.

2010
The company secures significant contracts – participating in the Eurovea project in Bratislava, the renovation of the Kempinski hotel in Vienna, the new Hyundai headquarters in Frankfurt, and facilities at the Nürburgring. Despite the financial crisis, the company maintains stable growth.

2012
Market cooling and issues with key clients lead to secondary insolvency. ABC KLÍMA responds with restructuring, cost savings, and seeking new opportunities abroad. Despite the challenging situation, it secures a contract for the construction of a complex for Tecnimont and is negotiating a project for 20 healthcare facilities in Russia.

2017
Following reorganization, the company focuses on the Slovak market and stable partners. Of the original five branches, two remain – in Bratislava and Košice. ABC KLÍMA focuses on projects with higher added value and invests in modern cooling and heating technologies, including heat pumps and geothermal solutions.

2019
Ing. Marian Driensky returns to the group, preparing for the CEO position. After a two-year inter-generational transfer of experience, he takes over the company's leadership at the end of 2021, together with a stable team of management and experts.

2023
Under new leadership, ABC KLÍMA undergoes rebranding, acquiring a new logo and a modern strategy. The rejuvenated team in Bratislava invests in service digitalization, online service, and strengthening design capacities. The company collaborates with investors and developers on modernizing cooling, heating, and HVAC solutions.

2025
ABC KLÍMA develops digital services and introduces the ERPIO system – an online platform for remote management of cooling, heating, and ventilation equipment. It provides customers with 24/7 access to monitor and manage operations, leading to cost and energy savings. Concurrently, the design team grows and implements new projects in housing, manufacturing, logistics, sports, and healthcare.
